Would not like to take up precious time of the members, please accept my apologies for putting in something that is not strictly social/business networking by definition. There is a person who needs a kidney transplant in Kolkata. The guy doesnt have his parents, only his wife and brother who are fighting a battle we can all help them win. They are a little short of the Rs 5 lakh amount required for the transplant.
Any help would be met with immense gratitude from all his well wishers.
This is not to solicit money, only an assurance that there are people who could help. The how and when could be worked out.

Cant thank you enough for responding to this. You have rekindled my faith in mankind.
Am putting this down here as a reply to the string. I have also put in a private message to either of you in the hope that it reaches you soon.
The operation is on the 27th of February.
This persons name is Subashish Mukherjee and he lives in Barasat, District North 24 parganas which is in the suburbs of Kolkata.
To be honest i am not very conversant with the process of wiring in. This person has a bank account here in SBI. I will try to find out from him/ his bank as to how they could handle it. In case you could advise how to go about it, it would be a help.
The person in question is married and has only his wife and a brother to look after him. He doesnt have his parents. Although he is working, he has been through a very rough patch healthwise as well as financially. He has undergone an extensive dialysis etc. There is a donor ready, the cost of the procedure would be around Rs 5 lakh. There is aproximately another 1.5 lakh to arrange.
All details including the name of the doctor, case paper copies, hospital where the transplant is to take place and other bonafides can be provided, including account details etc. in case you would like to peruse.
